i sanded all mine because i had to replace a panel too. I used an obital sander with 65 grit paper. then 150 to smoth it out. i still haven't stained the interior but i have the cabinent doors.

Another way to strip the panels is to use a sharp plane blade about 2 inches wide. Scrape the old shellac off before sanding. It worked well for me but use care not to damage the wood. If the panels...
